Angry Nuts to Green Valley

This is long... but worth hearing.

It all began back in Feb. I took my car to Green Valley for my 30k service, to fix my driver's side window which would not go down, and to check out a knocking noise I was getting on cold mornings. Well, the window needed parts ordered, and the noise was replicated, but went away before they could find it. Brought the car back in a week later, they "fixed" the window, and said that the knocking was normal. I drove my car home, and when I went to get out I couldn't. GV had failed to hook the inside door handle up when fixing the window. In the meantime, my car was beginning to experience the dredded clutch judder. Took my car back in to have the clutch problem replicated and to have the handle fixed. First they said the clutch was normal, untill I showed them the TSB. They "fixed" the handle and ordered the clutch parts. Two weeks later I brought the car back in for the clutch, and to have the window realighned, because once they fixed the handle they must have shifted the glass and it was hitting the door sille. I pick up my car a week later with new clutch and "fixed" window. I go to open the car, and the outside hand won't work. They forgot to hook that up too! So, they fixed that while I waited.
Well, after a couple of weeks driving with the new clutch, I began to notice some problems. The clutch pedal would grind when I depressed it, and every gear felt like it had no Synco. Refuseing to take the car back to GV AGAIN, I convinced SOA (after 5 hours on the phone) to let me take it to Carlsen. This is where it gets fun.
Kevin checked out all of my car for me, and this is what he found. Keep in mind nothing on my car has been worked on by anybody other than GV. First, they used the wrong part numbers for the clutch job. Even though I have them the TSB they used the old clutch number. They stripped all of the bolts to my turbo, and replaced them with the wrong ones. They left the lower engine cover loose, so it rattled, they left my intake airbox hose loose, and Carlsen found a "loose" bolt under my intercooler. I don't mean loose like it needed to be tightned, but as in free floating and Kevin didn't know where it went. He later found that out when hew noticed a bolt was missing from the clutch assembly. Basically, my clutch would never fully disingage, allowing the tranny to spin, and was causing the grinding in every gear. GV had also broken a grounding strap, and and torn a CV boot, and installed the recall clip in the WRONG LOCATION! Carlsen also noticed the woindow allignment was still not right, and fixed it right this time, there FIRST time! Oh, and remember that knocking noise? First time kevin fired up the car, he discoverd it was the timing belt tensioner. Normal huh, GV?
Point is Carlsen and Kevin rock, and I honestly believe that GV should be carefully reviewed by SOA, and should at least have their "stellar performer" status revoked. Oh, one more thing. The day I picked up the car from GV for the clutch I got stuck on the side of the freeway on the way home. It appears the jackasses at GV failed to put the nut on the bilt that connects the shifter to the shift linkage, allowing the bolt to slip out and leaving me unable to select any gears. I had to tear apart the center console and drive home holding the bolt in!

Venting done...
