Are the T6's that much better than the premium amsoil stuff? And what happened to the oem blue subbie filters?

I know a lot of people use T6 Rotella, but why does the manual say to use "SM"? What does that mean and why doesn't T6 Rotella have this designation?

Mobil 1 Synthetic 10w30* with OEM filter.

Still on the first go with it. No problems so far. But my car is NA.

*10w30 because Costco was out of 5w30.

I have used Motul 8100 5-30 and a OEM filter in my 08 FXT Sport for years now with no problems. I few years ago I sent some 8100 with 4k miles on it to Blackstone labs if anyone is interested let me know and I will dig up the paperwork they sent me after they tested it.

Switch to 5W30 next time then. 10W30 will be worse for the car on start up. Not a big deal in the summer, but in the winter you will want better flow right away. I used it for a long time in all of my N/A cars with no complaints, but the WRX doesn't seem to like it as much.

I used german castrol 0w30 for about 15k miles then switch to Rotella t6 5w40 with purolator filter.

After getting my 105k done at FW, Paul recommended lubro moly 5w40 synthetic. I've been using lubro moly for 7k+ miles.

I use T6.
If Wal-Mart is out of T6, I use Mobil 1 10W30 HIGH MILEAGE.

The HM formulation has much better shear resistance and holds up to the turbo Subaru abuse significantly better than regular Mobil 1.
