Not sure how we go about picking the route but lets put it this way keep it a nice medium drive with plenty of twisties but not too many we don't want to loose ProjektSti miata friend ha ha only joking!!

The thing to not worry about the route is we can pick one for this month and next month we can do another route so lets not worry too much cause theres always the next meet, it would be cool to keep this meet going monthly..

So we could start another thread with the different routes and have a poll, that might be the best option and lets have the route planned by next week..

But again anybody else that wants to come keep the names coming it will be a good day. All the meets to now have been fun, we go for a drive and not a race so lets keep it that way...

Hey if we get this thing going we can do a track day or something huge in the summer there are plenty of options..
Well, if you don't have a loop you really want to do i'll write it for you. I've been on them all MANY TIMES.
I've the prefect one in mind.
I was doing a monthly drive (every month) for about 4 years. Ranging for 2 cars up to as many as 23. (better to keep less then 12) But in the last 1 1/2 years people were crashing on almost every drive i had put on. People driving way beyond thier limits. No mater how much i told them not to.
So what i'm saying is, if you're wanting to be the NEW North Bay Drive organizer, more power to you. I'll be happy help all you want. Hell many of the guys that would run my drives don;t even own Subies anymore.

If the route's good enough, i still "may came".

And if i don't i hope you'll all come on my first return to writing a tarmac drive i over a year coming soon (and i promice no dirt)

What's everyone think of that plan?
The largest grtoup i've brought on Kings Ridge (out of the seven time) was a group of 16+ cars. We did fine. Almost had a head on with a truck while leading and lost a Scion into a ditch when he tried to break and turn while going across a cattle guard. (going S/E to N/W) Going the other direction theat problem isn't there.
Kings is the best road i know. love it. Geyers a close second even if they did take away the jump area.

im with you bushido on kings ridge. I love that drive. however I agree with mr. Hox. king ridge may be to much for so many cars. I second taking trinity pass... and when its all done we can talk about future roads over a few pints of beer.

Oh, I absolutely love Geyser's Road. Bit rough at some points (construction), but definetly a good trip. Took this pic the last time I was there:

Yeah, I'm thinking this might be our best bet. If we have 20+ cars, I'd feel much safer on a two land road than a one-way, especially on-top of a ridge like King's. Though King's Ridge will always be an option in the future!

Also, if anybody does have radio's let us know. I might go ahead and buy a set myself, but would like to see how many we can get out. Keep one for the lead and sweep cars, as well as Nick and Gabe so they can harass me about coffee....

Well I vote for this drive turning into atleast a monthly thing, taking new roads every time, when theres smaller groups we can take more challenging roads, and larger groups take more fun roads with more photo opps

I second that motion! Maybe have different people make route plans each time, giving us a broad range of tastes in favorite roads and such.

Heck, we've already got a few smaller meets under our belts these past few weeks. Don't see why it couldn't continue, and grow....

--> Speaking of meets, maybe we could get a small meet together on the Sunday before the 28th, on the 21st as a "get-to-know-everyone" sorta meet. Maybe even have a little drive to boot?

Oh damn... I never thought there would be this much interest.

How about a drive up monticello road to beryessa?

Looks as to be a good meet so far, Y'all should take a pit stop at the Trancas Starbucks in Napa, it's right past the target store on hwy 29...

Monticello is horrible still from when it flooded, its more fun out towards Pope Valley area IMO. I grew up in Napa so Monticello is kinda boring for me

Monticello is one of the best roads in the north bay to drive... why do you think 200 plus cyclists meet at the corners every weekend?
