One of my friends as a 325Xi BMW and I keep telling him to join us just so I can laugh at him
He keeps saying his Xi system is the bomb ha ha ha he is a funny fella, but I think he might just be riding shotgun.......
Looks like the gang is getting big hope everybody turns up on the day..
We should organise the time and the full trip this weekend and have the whole route planned out before hand so everybody knows the route, the stop points just in case people get lost - More importantly in case I get lost

Well, like I said earlier - I'm all for a little meet this weekend. Talk things over a cup of coffe, maybe get things situated in terms of route planning, lineup (lead/sweep), radios, etc...
Sound good? Would also be awesome if any newcomers would so we could get to know everyone...

sounds like a lot of fun, it reminds me of the old drives we used to have with 25+ people joining up.
i wish i could make it, but snowboarding >>>> driving a car off the track :P
maybe in the more spring months i can hop on board.

Guys, lets just do the Wine Country drive. It's a great route with good roads. After all it was the original route picked.
I don't care if there's traffic etc.. If i show i'll be just chilling out and not driving my normal speeds.

Meet time = 10:30am
Leaving = 11:00am sharp!
@ Santa Rosa Avenue Starbucks (By Costco, Best Buy, Target, etc.).
This will give time for us to check out the cars, have people gas up if they need to, check there tires, and all that other good stuff.
Yeah, I'm thinking the East route might be a fine choice for this drive.
"Possible Route 2 = Hwy 12 East, towards Bennet Valley Road. Take Bennet Valley Road till it cuts into Warm Springs Road. Head north on Hwy 12 from Warm Springs, towards Trinity Road. This continues on to Dry Creek Road, then take a left onto Oakville Grade Road. This lets out onto St Helena Hwy (128/29). Take Silverado Trail (parallels 128, but a LOT less boring) towards Calistoga. Then, just take Hwy 128 towards Lytton Springs, then Alexander Valley Road south into Healdsburg."
Rich, does this sond plausible? Do we want to extend it a bit and take a trip up to Chiles Pope Valley road from 128, then back down Howell Mountain Road? Or, for an even longer (though, not too long) we could take Chiles Pope Valle Road, and then Butts Canyon Road towards Middletown. Then, the Western Mine Road/ Ida Clayton Road. (Anyone know the condition of this road?)
Also, in taking the second extended route over Howell Mountain, we could also jaunt up Snell Valley Road to the Berryessa Estates for a photo op.

Yeah! How bout at the Healdsburg Starbucks? It's at 1075 Vine Street, right smack in the middle of the Safeway shopping center.
Say, meet there at like 2:00pm? This Sunday, January 21st...
** EVERYONE ELSE IS INVITED!!! ** Come to the pre-meet!

.
.

The route sounds fine.
If you wanted to extend the days drive i would recommend taking Spring Mountain/ St Helena rd (outof St Helena)
Turn right onto Calistoga rd
left onto Creek rd
right onto Franz Valley rd
left onto 128
left onto Claulk Hill rd
drive into Windsor
north on 101 to Healdsberg
