need assistance
ok guys im thinking about picking up this 02 wrx wagon for 6k with 108k but theres some issues. the car is throwing a CEL for misfire in all for cylinders but for some odd reason light on or off the car runs fine and feels , sounds healthy. is this a common problem or should i have it checked out before i purchase the car?
You should pull the codes, ask for maintenance records (at 108k it is going to need a timing belt very soon figure about $800). Most likely the misfire is the coil packs (about $250 in parts).

Coilpacks are seldom the cause of a misfire and to have all four causing misfires is virtually improbable.
Have the cause professionally diagnosed if you lack the skill(s) or time.
Depending on what the service records indicate, I'd lean towards tight valve lash as the cause.
Obviously, without seeing the car, I'm just guessing.
