you are going to be a lot happier in the long run by taking your time. Just be ready to change your mind. you should check out some of the new 08 models coming out.

I'm 23 riding an 06 ZX-6R. I've riding for 4 years and this is my second bike. I have state farm. I'm not sure how much mine is a month since its packaged with my WRX and my SE-R. However, my 2000 bandit 600 was like $36 a month for full coverage.

Also, consider a used bike as your first. Chances are that you will drop your first bike. I'm not saying that you will, but you might. Fairings are expensive and you won't be as upset with a used bike if it gets a little damaged.

Yah I went state farm... Riding a 03 XR 650R supermoto. Only costs me 500 a year for full coverage.

And yah id say BARF or craigslist.

Dunno why you hating on the supermotos. It's like the hottest thing in bikes these days, just look at how many DRZs are out there. Who doesn't love wheelies on demand?
