What kind of score do you need to get that will get you into a higher position than infantry?

actually, Infantry has specific test requirements. If you don't score high enough in certain sections of the ASVAB, you can't be infantry.

So basically they have jobs below infantry, that are set aside for people that do not score high enough for infantry?

Nah, it's not like that. Your scored on a million different types of aptitude. Everything from electrical/computer know-how to general education to problem-solving/leadership ability. It's like taking 10 easy graduate course tests at once and them telling you what you'd be best at.

i assure you you qualified for infantry but 13b are in more of a demand right now.

anyhow, i was a 13M, heavy arty, and i was at fort still for 3.5 years before i switched over to intel (E1-E5 there!) so if you have any questions about artillery, that area, or the army, let me know!

as a matter of fact you might have one of my friends as a drill sergeant.

That's when you show up to the barracks and get off the bus. They usually have every DI on the base come so each private has a DI to deal with. The fear is such that it will break grown men down to tears.
