There was no reason for that cop to even pulling that gun out.

Lets face it, he killed that kid for no reason. He deserves to be locked up for a long time.

regardless of what happened, there is no justification for rioting. To use that kids death as an excuse is disgusting.

Have you ever heard of the Use of Force Continuum? Obviously not, because you clearly have very little knowledge about law enforcement SOP. Because if you did, you would know there is ZERO justification in what that officer did. That individual officer was a danger to himself and others. I am glad to hear he resigned.

I doubt any of you know this, but from what I heard from someone who works for OPD, the BART Police didn't even inform OPD that there was an officer involved shooting until much later. They knew they F'd up from the get go.

 

another point i have is what if that was never caught on tape. would any of this be going on. i almost wish that cop who tried to get the camera would have got it czu more than likely none of thsi **** would be going on right now

whoa dude. you cant be serious. if there was no tape, it doesnt mean that guy isnt dumb and not at fault.

also, there were bart station cameras, so that's a moot point. not to mention the violation of freedom of press.

what if this happened to someone you know (god forbid)? would you take this exact same stance given everything we've seen up to this point?

 

have you ever heard of the Use of Force Continuum? If you had you would also know that no one police agency adapts the same as another even though there is a general guideline.

Majority of my family is law enforcment including spouse since you decided to insert yoru knowledge of the "guideline"

and if you knew anything about it you would also awknowledge it says nothing of a weapons accidental discharge which is not covered in that for a reason.

The Use of Force Continuum is a general guidline. and if it werent for a video tape know one would have know otherwise what happend

from the video tape the officer followed all protocol except his baton which if it escilated one step on him he could have jusfied going to that step.

and other knowledge you may want to know a police officer can unholster hsi weapon if receiving even verbal attack as a way to keep the situation from escalating. weapon can be drawn upon verbal or physical attack. not that it is right but it is their right

no im not, however, if it wasnt caught on tape would it have become what it is right now... no it wouldnt. and as i have stated yes i believe this guy is a dumbass. and is 100% at fault. and if i did have it happen to someone i know it is all relative. what if anything happend to anyone someone knew would they keep the same stance as soemthing as exponential as this
