Yeah, I saw that. Look, I'm no expert, and I certainly don't use either of them very often (or at all, in the case of the taser), but I still don't believe that the two are that indistinguishable. In addition to the difference in weight, there's the trigger, the trigger guard, and what about the resistance when you pull the trigger? Is the safety in the same location? Do you have to chamber a round in the taser? It sounds to me like a weak excuse. Sorry.

 

if someone gets confused between the two, especially for a trained officer, EPIC FAIL. dont care if its chaotic with armageddon or whatever, that's the point, they're trained to take the pressure.

Just saw a clip from the news i missed the 5 o'clock news so have to wait for the late news.. i figured there would be riots bad tonight and looks like there was.. Hope any of you i-clubbers who went are safe and sound..

destroyed at least 1 police car. Front and rear windows as well as taillights (oakland police car not even bart police)

destroyed / set ablaze 1 other civilian car

destroyed numerous windows to buisnesses in the 10ave / international area

threw numerous bottles at the police

sounds peaceful to me. good job. way to show police you are against violence.

 

You'll notice you quoted me BEFORE any video came out. My response is one to counter all the cop-bashers who automatically think all cops are evil criminals whose actions are legitimized and covered up simply because they wear a piece of tin on their chest.

The video provides rather damning evidence, I do have to admit. The fact that the cop refuses to come forward and cooperate with the investigation says even more. Am I certain that it wasn't an accident, where he meant to pull out his tazer instead of his lethal gun? No, I'm not.

I have to say that from the video evidence, I'd have to side with the family, however they are now losing legitimacy by the rioting crowds who are now becoming violent themselves...

...all in all, I'm certain of one thing:

The media will ensure that the police officer WILL NOT EVER be allowed to get a fair trial by an impartial jury unless they move the trial to somewhere east of the Mississippi where there's no television. They've made sure to play that video every single news cast since they've gotten it, saturating the world with it so no one will be able to truthfully admit they haven't seen it.
