Question Lowering Issues.

So I put an Eibach Pro kit on my 04 wrx. I went to Rynick to get it aligned, I should have listened to you guys by going to auto innovations. My front tires are wearing bad. The driver side front has major inside wear, and the passenger front has less, but still has bad wear. I called Rynick and told them it was wearing horrible, he said I need caster bolts or some sort of add on so they can align it. I talked to a guy at dyno day who works at wheel works and said I would not need those. I was wondering if any of you guys that are lowered, put any sort of extra piece on to align your car. I think that my tires are gone and I want to buy new ones but I want my alignment right before I go spend 250 on tires. Any input would be great. Can auto innovations fix it without any additional equipment is the core question?

for the front you don't need camber bolts. there are stock eccentric (aka camber bolts) bolt already these allow you to adjust camber.

camber is the way the wheels go / \ if you are looking from the front.

in the rear, you don't have any stock eccentric bolts so you will need aftermarket ones if you want to adjust camber. Did you install any?

You can also adjust toe, which is \ / looking from the top. you want 0 toe which is | |

auto innovation can align your car but the rear may be an issue with camber if you didn't install any camber bolts.

what are your alignment specs now? they should've given you a printout.

0 toe all around and even negative camber front and back would be a good alignment and should fix the tire wear problem. Ever been in an accident? Hopefully the suspension is sound. Ive gone through the suspension woes....

Rear camber bolts are cheap nd easy to install. I would put those on and then get the car aligned.

I would take it to Roger Kraus for a proper alignment:

I recommend having the aftermarket camber bolts installed front and rear on a lowered WRX/STi, along with the above-mentioned quality alignment, and then a bonus would be the Flatt-Racing (JDM stuff) "roll-center adapters", which replace the outer front ball joints, thus lowering the outside of the front control arms, so that when lowered, the vehicle retains better suspension geometry, and has less bumpsteer.

Thanks for all the input so far. I have never been in an accident, I did not have wear until I lowered it. The Rhynic tire guys just did factory spec alignment for my WRX and did not factor in the lowering. I have no wear in the back, so i do not think I need the camber bolts. Would you guys suggest that I do a tire/rim swap with the front tires so that the inner wear is on the outside. So that after I align it, it wont still wear more on the inside? or buy new tires? They have decent tread but the front driver side tire is almost slick on the inside.

Thanks
Greg

you need to keep an eye on how your tires are wearing
