I did a 19.000 on Saturday and a 19.024 backwards (that's fun). Right now the track is sticky and the karts are running really good.

Agh!! I STILL can't break 19's! I got about 20.3--

I think my problem is I'm not tight enough in the turns as I make sure I have traction. I also weigh 195lbs which really isn't helping.

Did they extend turn 3? Turn 3 used to be a smooth round about and now it's like a double apex 3a and 3b. The 3b is what's new... like they jutted the corner out. This thing sure didn't help my time. It feels like everytime I go they've modified the course to slow it down somehow. What's next? A triple chicane between turn 7 and 1????

/\ /\ /\ I was there last night and my fastest lap was 19.404 and I weigh about 190. Temperature at that time was in the low 40s. My fastest laptime was half a second slower compared to my previous run, about a month ago. I think you are right about turn 3.

By the way, Kart 6 is very well balanced at the moment.

I can't remember which kart I was on, but a worker stopped me and asked me if I was pushing both pedals at the same time. I told him I wasn't (because I wasn't) and he fiddled with the fuel line throttle something saying, "it doesn't sound like it's reaching full throttle". After that, the kart felt faster for a few laps and then it went away. I wonder if I got a bad kart.

Once I had a throttle problem, very similar to the way u described it. My fastest laptime with that kart was 18.9xx.....but I was also running high 19s for a few laps.

Try Kart 6 or Kart 13 next time to see if it makes a difference. I am curious myself.

just learn to use your weight to your advantage. i weigh 230 on a good day and lap fools that weigh only 120-180 range. it's all about momentum

Can you give me tips?

I know I need to carry as much speed as possible which means not doing as late apex (but not early).

However, it seems like the faster gripper sections favor hugging the inside and sharp turn in, which isn't good for me.

And I still don't get how to lean the right way when. I get the feeling you want to lean out early when initiating the turn but lean in when in the turn. I get tired trying to do this because I'm out of shape.

Please give me tips!

Use your weight to stick the corners. When entering a turn it doesn't raelly matter where your weight is, but once in the corner, let your body naturally lean toward the outside rear corner. You'll carry much more speed and the tires will have a harder time spinning free. Also, it's way easier on your body...come that 90th lap your abs aren't about to die

Edit: I'm 205 - 210

The last time I was there, the track and the karts were really grippy. I haven't been that sore in quite a while. I should be going again soon. Probably saturday.

New track is less than 2 weeks old so supposedly the grip hasn't built up yet... but I got 19.71!! For some reason I'm just better at this track than the other one.

I gotta get back to get that 19.50 twin engine qualification.

I was there last night and managed to run a fastest lap of 19.527 and I weigh about 185. Love the new track.

I went to the summer configuration a couple days after they set it up, and MAN was it slippery out there. Being a high 18 guy on the fall / winter configuration, I ran like a 20.4 or something. It was nuts and I felt slow, but I suppose it was out of my hands . No grip yet.
