I agree I think it's terrible how Karl malone had to go to the lakers to get a ring because he couldnt do it with his own team, and payton as well, I dont know how they could accept it....

Good players are only part of the equation. The Warriors have had sub-par coaches and incompetent people in the front office (Garry St. Jean, Garry St. Jean, Garry St. Jean!!) for YEARS. It's very difficult for me to support a team and organization that doesn't even reflect that it is at least TRYING to get better!
and, yes, the LAKERS are the "Yankees of the NBA"........BOTH are WINNERS & CHAMPIONS!!!

the warriors arent even trying to win. they are just trying to make money, and right now, they are. their payroll is low, yet the ticket prices are high. they lose all the time, yet they still manage to sell out most of their games.
the ownership between the warriors is very different from the yankees or lakers. steineburner or jerry buss is in the game to win, anything short is failure, money isnt as a big of an issue as winning. chris cohen of the warriors on the other hand is purely here to make money, he doesnt care about the fans, he doesnt care about the warriors, only thing he cares about is money.
as far as management change for the warrior goes, i heard on foxsportsnet that chris mullen might be taking over for garry st. jean at general manager, and they are trying to go after chris floyd to replace mussleman as coach. and as far as the team goes, van exel is gone, eric dampier is leaving, foyle is leaving, jrich will be gone as soon as the contract is up, johnson is retiring, and robinson might be retiring, too. no decent free agent will want to sign with the warriors (the team is cheap and they lose a lot, who can blame them for not wanting to play here??) the future is bleak...

Well I would back them because I Love the Lakers and winning or not they are my basket ball team. Oh and I'm from L.A. just here because of the Air Force not by choice. And L.A. dosn't have a football team so I back the Pack and I have never even been in Wisco.

That said...very happy they won. If the Kings can keep their end going...we'll get to see a Sac-LA series...and if you're a true basketball fan, then that will be the ultimate series...just like it was 2 years ago.

it's all love over here, man! I dunno about "my team (losing) with dignity," part, but I really was hoping that Sac would win, so we could get another crack at each other.
but, as mentioned, the Lake Show will hold it down for y'all! No series predictions YET, but I feel pretty good about the match up.

...and all of a sudden, all the Laker "fans" pop up out of nowhere. Hahaha..you guys are great. I was in So Cal a week ago and that place was bonkers with all the 0.4 t-shirts.
Now looking at the boxscores, that's the Laker team I expected. Even though I'm not a fan of the Lakers, it's nice to see them not b*tching and bickering with one another and be on the same page.
