Unfortunately if it's towed "at the owners expense" I think the towing company is waived of responsibility for damages. I hope I am wrong though.
Subarus should come from the factory with the AWD warning sticker. Whoever makes those (I forget the username) should patent them and then sell it to SOA.

That's BS
they have dollys... they are these wierd caster looking things that make it super easy to move cars. My car got towed once, I asked the drive how he got it out because I parked in a tight spot in a tiny lot, and he showed me the casters and how they work.
And it is not the end of the world to see a Suby towed on two wheels. Subarus can be towed on two wheels for up to 5 miles. Any dealership will confirm that. I am guessing that they used the traditional truck to tow the car out of the spot and then once they were out of traffic they put it on a flatbed.

I'd call lic, if there is damage they will know. I mean some of you guys speak as if the car was in gear. If it's just in neutral, maybe it could destroy them without blowing the diffs up to the point of not running.
so was it in gear or neutral?
if it was in gear huck should have a) seen it burning out down the street and heard terrible noise as it went by b) the diffs blew out and it was just coasting.........which you should know!

i know Nope, had a talk with a tow truck company, it is normal for all Subaru's to b AWD, so the tow co is libel - similar issue almost happened to me...on unusual makes, sometimes that can be used for an excuse, or at least they try to.
But the tow company is being paid, that means they have to take more than minimum care of the car...

Are you in complete denial? Huck saw them towing it on 2 wheels, then they charge you extra for a flatbed????
Your car was towed at least for a short distance on 2 wheels. That is a fact, and even a short distance will have placed lots of wear on your diff.
You should be getting that car to a subaru shop to look for damage, raising hell with the towing company & contacting a lawyer asap.
Don't just accept that your car is fine.

I will most definitely have it checked out. Rode her pretty hard after I got home and the car drove just as she always does, wonderfully. Took some on-the-throttle 1st/2nd gear hard turns and still fine. I would think a busted center diff would be very noticeable but having never rode in one I would not know. I really appreciate the help and concern from everyone and keep your fingers crossed for me that everything is a-ok.

if you really think towing companies would learn. I always receive the wrong tow truck when i specify a flat bed and will be towing a Subaru a 4wd car. Once they brought me 2 wrong kinds of tow trucks. I was towing my car at a distance of 60 miles too -.-
