i had my 03 lancer keyed to hell. If the person who keyed it didn't hit substrate (primer, or bare metal) you can most likely color sand(1,00-2000 grit) it and buff with a nice 3m rubbing compound.. And then use a nice 3m foam polish then give it a good wax and it should be good.. We had to do scratch repairs at school and i buffed mine out cause it didnt hit substrate.. Just becareful when you are sanding it and buffing it that you dont sand or buff in one spot for too long..
Sorry about your car i know the feeling

u can try with some touch up paint, let it dry. then hit it with some 2000+ grit sand paper to get everything looking level, then use a buff wheel with a rubbing compund, then hit it with polish, then wax.... if that don't work then give it to the pros

You guys that say rubbing compound works-- how about if the paint goes to the undercoat?
For example on a wrb car, say theres a mild scratch, but it goes to the white undercoat under the wrb. Im assuming that would be too deep of a scratch for just rubbing compound?

some times u can get lucky and get that off with rubbing compound... but most of the time u'll need some touch up paint and wet sand and lots of buffing

Usually rubbing compound only works for clear coat flaws

You can try DACP with a rotary

its really sad that lately alot of people have been getting keyed, some jagoff scratched mine up on my driver's side quarter panel. i hope this scratch buffer stuff i have from meguir's helps it out a bit...my sister said there was a big scratch on it, but i thought she was kidding luckily its not deep, it just looks like its barely scratching the clearcoat
