Depending on the depth of the scratch, if you can catch a finger nail on it; then it will require a respray to be perfectly leveled again. If you want to just cut and correct the paint through various correction procedures, then it will make it look 80-90% better, but it will still be there.

I own a local body shop and worked on a few I-Club members cars. Send me a PM and I can work on giving you a quote.

Since you're coming out this way today, give Detail Maniac a call and see if they can do anything before we meet up.

Yeah worse case is to get a CF hood. Trying to fix it would cost a good chunk of cash.

haha i thought this thread about wanting to beat up the pos that keyd your car ..

its doesn't look tooo bad.. but irritable..id just clean it. buff it up as much as possible and keep it as it until there are more scratches...you figure if it get keyed once..it may get key'd again.

They'll burn through the base coat before they can get that leveled. You will definitely need a repaint.

Easier way to fix it without having to cut deep at all or repaint it. I can do it, just takes time. I can greatly improve the look, doesn't matter if its all the way to the metal... not the end of the world... Its fixable no matter how bad it is. Sucks, had it happen to my car. Detail cars myself. But im out in West Sac. Won't be Perfect to a capital P, but will look 80-90% better, but like i said.. its a long process, takes time and patients. Im just very picky when it comes to having things done perfectly.
