I commute to the city....it sucks.

If you live in say..fremont..you're looking at $200 a month. You can rent garage space for that.

I'd move to the city but my girlfriend and family are in Santa Cruz and I drive there every weekend so the city would make that even an harder drive.

I'd say this....

1. stay in the dorms..cheaper...should have parking...if they don't you'll be saving money living there and not having to commute...rent a space.

2. find a cheap place to share that has parking...it's actually available these days believe it or not.

3. if you are forced to park your car in public places or plan on driving around and parking in S.F. on a regular basis, I strongly suggest you PM Krinkov. Get yourself a clear bra and have him do your rear bumper too. You are bound to and other people are bound to bump into your car and those lisense plate bolts will kill your paint.

if you plan on being social...driving to places like san jose and fremont and having a social life like that...just commute....you can park next to me at Fremont Bart so we won't get door dings..haaaa...it's not that bad. life in the east bay it's cheaper. If you plan on being social in SF and don't need to leave the city all the time.....live in the city. Leave your car someplace close to the bart line and safe if you can do it for free and can't find a place with parking.

Ahh! So many replies, I don't know where to begin.

I'm leaning toward finding an apartment outside of the city, I really don't mind commuting, my current job is a 60 mile round trip. I'm used to it. Ted/GotBoost, I noticed how dinged up peoples' bumpers were, and I definitely want to avoid that, which is why I think living outside of SF is my best option. Clear bras look horrible on white cars anyway. I was going to get rid of mine when I moved. Stupid gravely Colorado roads.

I guess I'll just write down the areas you guys suggested and once I move, I'll start looking around more seriously. I just wanted to get an idea of my options. I'm going to check out that craigslist site later on (56k sucks), so maybe I'll find some fantastic deal on parking. And who needs dorms to meet people, groovebusta? That's what I-Club is for.

I may take you up on the book offer, Takumi. Anything to cut costs. I really appreciate all your help.

Trust me, at AAC, you'll have absolutely no problems meeting people. The classrooms are fairly small and some classes feel like a small family after the semester's over. That's why I love that school.

you'll meet tons of people.....

on clear bra....when you move over here come to UCKK...you'll not only meet people but you can look at my clear bra...white car...looks great.

long as my car is clean you can barely see it and krinkov/jeremy has a new material that suppose to have a lifetime no yellow guarantee.
