That being said, the majority of kaidou racers nowadays aren't real bosozoku; instead, they're just non-criminal enthusiasts that form groups called kyushakai, which are vintage vehicle clubs. Kinda like how not every low rider in America is driven by a gang-banger.

Hey Choku Dori, I followed your link and lulzed. There was another link on that page about what looks like a REAL mobile suit or a Zaku or something! Would you please translate a little of it for me?

"From the metal fabrication artist Kurata, Kougoro who created the soccer-ball kicking robot Castrol Number 1 and a 1/1 scale replica of the Scope Dog from 'Votoms', comes the incarnation of his notion, 'I want to build a robot that you can ride in (pilot).' So far, it's been a little over a year since he first expressed that idea of building a 4 meter tall humanoid robot, now we can catch a glimpse of his work in progress.
Although he started his work as a solo project, Kurata has since been joined by V-Sido software creator Yoshizaki, Kou.
The robot has been named 'Kuratasu' (Kurata's?), and Kurata states that it is to be a humanoid combat-type robot with 4 engine-powered legs.
The scale model gives a sense of what the finished product will be like. It is meant to fit one occupant (the pilot), and will have a total height of 4m with the main body being 3m tall, with a dry weight of 1 ton.
Because work on the head and arms is incomplete, the cockpit is still accessible from the side.
The engine is a diesel-powered model."
The rest are design notes, photo captions, and a brief interview with Kurata and Yoshizaki.

Random Task
'Austin Powers' villain sentenced to life in prison for felony torture
The 40-year-old actor, who played the villain Random Task in "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery," was convicted last month of torturing the young woman he kidnapped while she was walking her dog on a street in Huntington Beach, California.
The Orange County District Attorney said in a statement obtained by OnTheRedCarpet.com that the victim was dragged to their car, where she was tortured and raped by Son and another man. After pleading for her life and enduring heinous sexual assaults for several hours, the victim was released naked, with her pants tied around her eyes.
A nearby homeowner helped her call the police and though evidence was collected at the time, the case went cold. Her purse was later retrieved at the scene, but her dog was never found.
Son, who is also known as UFC Mixed Martial Arts fighter Joe Son, was eventually identified after pleading guilty to an un-related felony vandalism charge in May 2008. After violating his probation later that year, Son was required to provide a DNA sample. His October 8 DNA sample matched the December 1990 DNA collected at the scene of the crime.
Though Son was charged on October 1, 2008 with several felony counts of gruesome sexual offences, the statute of limitations had run out. Son's co-defendant Santiago Lopez Gaitan, was sentenced to one felony count each of kidnapping, sodomy by force in concert, rape in concert, forcible oral copulation, and forcible rape with a sentencing enhancement for committing rape while armed with a firearm. He was sentenced in January 2011 to 17 years and four months in state prison.
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, was 19-years-old at the time of her abduction and gave a statement to the court.
"The post traumatic stress disorder is with me daily as I have triggers that set me off," she said in a statement obtained by OnTheRedCarpet.com. "My emotional scars are intense. My twenties were stripped from my life as I relearned how to walk, see, hear and cope with the outside world again. Joseph Son not only cost me my job at my salon but also my college savings... not to mention the impact it's made on celebrating Christmas year after year."
