廣東話 is more different in speaking with chinese used in the north of China!
too many dialects in China,I almost cant understand every word.
廣東話 is one kind of dialects.

繁體中文 is another shape of chinese used before 1970 in main china,and it has been useing in Taiwan land now! The goverment of China thought 繁體中文 is too complicated in writting , so they create 简体中文 to take the place of 繁體中文.

example :
繁體中文:我愛你勝過我的生命
简体中文:我爱你胜过我的生命

愛=爱 勝過=胜过
