Just to reaffirm this point, I would make every attempt to ensure that the insurance company agrees to deem the car totaled! Even if they repair it and even if it is a really good shop, it doesn't matter. The car has been in a severe accident which will stay on its record, and it will never be worth as much. You are better off if it is totaled.

Good luck.

Unforunatly from my understanding and experiance no matter the situation if you rear end somebody you are at fault, even if some dumb ***** rams you and launches you into a car in front of you, your insurance is responsibal for paying for the car you eventually rear ended.

although it isnt morally your fault, it is still your responseability, and unfortunatly this is how premiums go up, and now you will also have a fault accident on your record as well as non faulty accident on your record, it will also be specified that it was the same case.

dont believe me? call your agent.

sorry to hear this happened to you. Mike i hope you clean that ****ing ****** wallet for every red cent.

I've never heard of anyone using Hays Bros but have been in 2 accidents (both not my fault) in my WRX and used bodycraft off sunrise twice with good results. I know Matt (sonicsuby) used someone else with good results for his car too.

goodluck and PM me if you need anything.

Masey, that sucks bro... I hope everything works out.

You might consider handling your own personal injury claim without a lawyer. It's not as hard as you think - take a look at
