I start with around 250-300 and end up with 600 for a really smooth surface. Just be careful with the heavy grit so you don't scratch to deep and spend forever getting them out.

So whats the plan Jason?
I have a couple hours of work in the morning, since I did not put much time into the gauges. I need to get some parts to do it right. I also need to do some painting, then pull the rear seats for the strut adjusters

I was in China the last three weeks...didn't check on this thread.
I guess all is well (or will be) with the motor, Jason?
Can someone educate me on the purpose of the rocker cover bolts and how that affects leakdown? I assume that when GST installed the cams they neglected to tighten the bolts? I'm surprised there wasn't a greater loss of power when I got tuned if this problem was present since install...
Anyway, keep the thread updated with #s when things get sorted

China eh? You must tell us more, and put up some pics
The rocker cover bolts are basically the bolts that hold on the valve cover. While not a huge deal, it is a sign of a hurried install, and other potential issues.
I am curious as to how the valve seal was compromised, since there appears to be no real reason to mess with the valves when doing a cam install, unless the valve springs have to be compressed to get the cams in. I guess it could have been something done during the cam install, it could have been natural, or it could have been like that from the factory.
