I saw a year or so ago when they were filming. They would park all their equipment and rigs and get coffee at my ex's coffee shop.

Oh yeah, and I also wanted to say I think there's a huge rush-especially around here it seems-for people to settle down way too young. Don't buy into that crap! Especially since you're a guy you can stay single for the next 10 years and settle down when ready!
Ok, that's my 2 cents. Now I'm done

My opinions, in no order:
Clutch: stay stock with the WRX tranny. I have seen 2 guys now blow their trannies soon after a clutch install. Of course, they cannot drive for **** and think they are rally drivers, so YMMV. ACT does make a nice clutch...I am about to buy one for my 6 speed
A 30k can be done in your driveway, save the cash for beer.
Look into some good brake pads, stainless lines, possibly rotors. And a flush with some Motul RBF-600 or ATF Super Blue, either one is a great fluid.
Get a downpipe and skip the AP, unless you are getting tuned. I would check out some of the mail in maps from XPT Tuning, or another of the popular sources for open source maps. Unless you are getting ProTuned, an AP is not worth the price.
There are far better maps available then their off the shelf crap, and for far cheaper. Hell, several places will even take your data logs and make small tweaks to improve driveability, mileage, and performance. I have had bad experiences with Cobb maps, and their service, so that is why I am hesitant to recommend the AP 2.0 and their maps if you are not getting tuned. I am ProTuned, so naturally, I have an AP lol.
For wheels, you cannot go wrong with Rotas.
Yes, early commitment is a highway to early disaster.
Glad to see the Evo running...expect a call shortly
Um, ya, glad to see the fire craziness calm down too....although that is my meal ticket. It just sucks that there have been so many accidents this year. Hell, one of my lead firefighters took a tumble and fractured her ankle last week, and we had to get a CHP helicopter to fly her out. Too far up the mountain to get out any other way....so they had to use the hoist. Crazy **** there.
Anyway, that is what I think. Give me a shout.

Yep, I'm in a relationship but refusing to settle down until I finish up the M.A. and have a stable income. To me, getting married is something you should do when you're preparing to have kids. But that's just my opinion
Good for you on staying true to yourself and knowing what you want, and what will make you happy!

And some damn good advice, too! (see my above comment, similar sentiment)Anywho, yesh. I will be trying to get my clutch replaced with a stock one under warranty. The damn thing stopped squeaking though. I have an appointment next weekend with Capitol down south, so maybe it'll start squeaking again by then? Either way I've got warranty work to get done before it expires, all little cosmetic interior stuff, so I should head down regardless. I do like ACT's but I think I'll wait a bit on this regardless of whether or not subaru replaces the thing.
Pro-tune. Yes. I will be getting the car pro-tuned by EQ Tuning; been talking to Ed, who is awesome. After doing a lot of research on the matter, I totally agree with you on the Cobb maps being inferior and not worth it as a stopping point.
Brakes. Touché
They already suck as is even though they're technically still in great shape at 29k. Considering that my car will soon be much faster this is something to think about. Wheels...holding off for now. I need a good tire recommendation. You guys know these roads we drive on and this weather. Any recommendations off the top of your head for my stock 17's?
30k service. I don't wrench on my own car. Marit wrenching is a recipe for disaster
I do a lot of reading so I'm not obscenely annoying in that sense, in terms of handing over cash for work without knowing wtf is going on. On the other hand though, Marit wrenching is still a recipe for disaster. If anyone here wants to help me out in doing the 30k I'd love to learn along the way if possible and I will massively hook you up for your time and efforts. Let me know if anyone has the time and interest. TBE-decided to go with the APS catted most likely. Found a decent deal on one online.
Fires. Sorry to hear about all the mishaps. You guys and the work you do is seriously amazing. Interesting comment on the fires being your meal ticket yet not something you want to occur simultaneously
I've never really looked at it that way before for some reason. Thanks Adam!!!!!
