i grew up in the early beavis & butthead days. Hearing the word lube being thrown around so much definitely made me do the gratuitous butthead impression..

"lube.... uh huh huh huh huh huh"

I think the solution for this is to get some rally flocking and some adhesive then sprinkle it on just enough to where the noise goes away and you dont create a gap. I'm gonna try this out and report back (after i find some)

Didn't read the first post but I would say some Yoga, jogging and a little wight training should take care of it. Possibly a healthier diet too.

It's not the worst, but it sucks if you mess up the throw out bearing or mess up the install somehow. To me its worth the 700ish bucks to have somebody do it correctly. I'd do way more stuff myself if i had another car to commute in. One day....

not sure about your build, but my exedy oem replacement got smoked quickly with no launching at around 300whp. 3rd/4th/5th gear pulls would slip

The Exedy stage 2 had the worst shudder/chatter ever even on a stock flywheel.

The ACT stage 2 broke in nicely and holds no prob.

How many times was the old flywheel resurfaced? Sometimes you need to have the pressure plate cut to get the right spacing, even if the pressure plate is new.

never resurfaced. It didnt have many miles on it. I never got CEL or anything. I just figured since it was burned from the slippage I might as well just replace it with an OEM while i had it open for the clutch. It's one of those "while its open you might as well do........" opportunities.

Interesting. I loved my exedy and it's got over 100k on it. Fading fast though. I'm going stage 2 this time though... I also run an act light flywheel...

clutch shutter is for sloppy drivers! LOL! Seriously though. Mine got loud but no problems with shutter. just a stage 1 hd though.

An Energy Suspension Master Kit was what it took for my Neon. You could do something similar with TiC's offerings.
