how not to have a good group drive
you guys are lame, the news uses pictures like this everyday. Stop sucking the guys tit, they both ****ed up and shouldn't be embarrassed.........own up to what they did
IF they are that embarrassed they shouldn't have done it in the first place!
Especially given his speil, he should have no problem with the pics.
Ive never been on a group drive where people didn't wreck. Last time my friends tried to video one spun into a fence, other rear ended me, and another got hit by an idiot driver..............then i decided video taping isn't the best idea.......
sorry but some people just aren't good/cautious enough drivers to group up.

talk about a btch slap!
You sir are an idiot! I was a commercial photographer shooting for almost every car company on the planet. The 'right's you are descibing are Corey's the photographer's!!! YOU can't use any of HIS images without HIS consent.
If I shoot a shot in a public place of a public event I own ALL the rights to do whateverr the f**k I want with them!!!
If I shoot a picture of someone in a studio or in private and then publish those pictures for profit without a release, THEN the law is being broken!
You can go back to where you came from now ~ You won't be missed!
Bye!

ya i took the photo's so i geuss if i cared i'd put some cool symbol..but i dont know to make them lol...so i dont care. but the reason i took them down is because, the owners of the cars are a friend of a friend. and he asked me nicely to remove them because they dont want the name of their club to be any worse than it is already going to be. also i think they are worried about chp or insurance looking online (which i know wont happen) anyways...ordering my P1's right now..cheers

seriously or not? lol wouldnt my pictures have no real use i would think, as the cars im sure are sitting at a shop and will be looked at by an insurance adjuster, and the report from the accident scene would have real official detail, where as pictures i took, couldnt be held to liable in arbitration, compared to the accident report.

I commend Cory. Because I asked he took them down. I am the admin at Flat4lv. It saddens me too see a big group such as I-Club pass judgment on my entire club for the actions of one member. I'm sure a club the size of I-Club has some members that may do some irresponsible driving from time to time, should I categorize everyone in this thread with them? NO. We have had 8 drives under my direction with no incidents. Only a few broken windshields from rocks. They are well planned and they are executed to plan. I for one cannot control every person. There is a point at which every person has to take responsibility for their own actions. This was a decision made by the driver, and I have no control over that. I think some of you are really taking this out of hand. The owner of the car has paid the ultimate price in the loss of his car, and the thought that he is somewhat responsible for another members car. I'm sure in his thoughts now are how close he in fact was to seriously injuring or killing himself and even worse others who may have been around.
I myself have totaled a car when I was younger, and I look at that day as a learning experience. My accident was 100% avoidable, and my youth and inexperience resulted in me possibly injuring myself or others. Luckily I walked form the crash and nobody was injured, but the car was a total.
I know the owner of the car quite well, and he is generally a very responsible person. I am not saying that his actions are excused, nor am I saying that they were not excessive. I was not at the seen to make that judgment, but to say my entire club is reckless makes me sick. I'd hope some of you would see the whole picture and not look down at the other members that form Flat4lv for the actions of 1 member. We have a great reputation in Las Vegas for not being street racers. We have a huge showing at the Las Vegas Speedway, and support one another in tough times like this. It is really easy to pass judgment sitting at a keyboard. I myself am tempted to do it all the time, especially on Nazioc.
In Closing, I hope you realize that a vast majority of our members are here to help and embrace the suby community in every manner including safety. I think this has really opened my eyes again to how dangerous a group drive can be no matter how well planned or how safe each individual driver may be. There is always the unforeseen unavoidable accidents, and the 100% avoidable accidents (**** ups). Those fall souly on that individual driver, and that puts everyone at risk. I have some changes for future group drives to try to minimize any risks, but I cannot eliminate them all.
Thanks for reading my long winded post, and hopefully I'll see some of you sometime when I am in your neck of the woods.

Nosmo:
I don't really think it is the incident that is tarnishing the rep of the club as much as the chest pounding from your members on here, with stupid comments about lawsuits for 'copyright' ( I mean this guy is NOT the sharpest knife in the drawer).
The rest of your post is 100% on the money. S**t happens.
And yes, people do go off the road at i-club. But, I have yet to see such posted arrogance as the post from the "autocross expert" with flawless car control, who did a nose plant in the desert. It seems it couldn't have been his fault because "another driver lost it too". Of course the clincher was the plea for help for his own bad judgement. His post rubbed everyone here the wrong way. Plain and simple.
No way does anyone here blame you for organizing the drive. They (we) are all big boys and make our own decisions, eh. Anyone who has never taken a chance, made a stupid move... go ahead and toss the next stone!

The photographer owns the rights to those photos. He explicitly has stated that they are not to be posted.

Not that I know the law, just I'd take his word being it's his career.
Again, the images don't hurt my club rep just internet haters with a keyboard as their weapon. In fact, any publicity is good publicity. I got a ton of hits today.... Keep this thread rolling.... In fact here is a link to the drivers statements.
