why would you spend the money on a AMG when you could get a GTR at that point that is faster, nicer to drive, an much less money to boot.

Not even once. Hate the community, hate the majority of owners.

It depends on a lot of things, like which one you buy and how you bring it in and where you register it.

We have a couple GTR owners on here

Cali which means strict emission rules. So we shall see

Are any of those owners in cali? Registered and driving them legally.

Ive seen some websites that get then important for but need to look into getting it registered, see how my insurance deals with them.

Also need to see which tuner shops are around san jose etc etc. but all in all i wouldnt mind jumping ship out of the subaru and into a skyline for awhile

Went through a 2005 wrx,Sti and a 99 Legacy GT wagon. Love them all. But eventually I needed something with more room and less rattle.
Left subaru a while back(2009). I do miss my 05 Sti from time to time but I need the space with 2 dogs. Still kept with the AWD and forced induction formula tho.

CARB is who you are dealing with then. EPA is no problem.

The owners are in CA, and they are registered (I forget which way and if they are CA registered)

If you regsiter in CA you can not mod it.

These guys get R32s and can get you going on registration.

You'll like the TRD.Edition, LMK what you end up thinking about the new 3.5l engine though.

As for me, well you all know why I (sorta) got out of Subbies. Too many issues keeping the RS smog legal so it sits at our place in Mexico to be played with once/twice a year and after issues with the Forester (FB consumption) I took the offer from work and got the Ramtruck for all the stuff we do for house repairs and recreation. Anything else I could ever need I'll just grab a loaner from one of the company lots if need be. #jobperks

Wife's family down there made me an offer on the RS, I might have to take the kid up on it because cash/money could pay for the stupid roof repairs.

/Sarcasm

EDIT: AFAK the frame rust issue effected older (pre-2012?) models. Newer models do not have the same issues (at least that's what I was told about my 2012). And please don't give examples from states that salt roads more frequently than catholic priests molest alter boys. Or better yet, owners being fat and lazy to wash their undercarriage regardless of the amount of salt used.

Heck, we almost got an X-5. Nice to drive, better than the Tourag was, only issue is the constant upkeep expense. Then my issue is that I consider a slightly lowered X5 versus a SRT Cherokee and I get all goofy over the Hemi again.

Tell me you guys finally got rid of your leaker/consuming oil engine?
