2 many left turns, maybe?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- NASCAR and Goodyear officials haven't found a definitive reason for why the right-side tires were wearing out so fast in Sunday's Sprint Cup debacle at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but they are vowing to make sure it doesn't happen again.

HAHHAA but seriously it was so bad. They could only go 12 laps. And they didn't this problem with the old car. Go figure.

The rear tires would start showin cords just after 7-9 laps, then around 12 laps that was pushing it. Very boring with the caution comin out every 12-14 laps, but hopefully they figure something out

when i was watching Saturday's happy hour they were saying that i may have had sonething to do with the COD's aero effects. which is why so much rubber was ending up on the back end of the car and not on the track.......

the good year tires have been complete and utter **** all season in nascar. It's a BIG problem.

They've started using restrictor plates for the first time in nascar history I believe. Lots of drivers have been complaining about the tires.

Seems to me that driver safety should be the utmost importance not what company gives nascar the most money. Not the best place to be testing tires....

They've been using restrictor plates for years. Only way to keep the speeds below or at 200 mph at places like Talladega. Usually they only use them on the superspeedways where you don't really even need to slow down to go around the curves.

But yea, this tire wear had something to do with these new cars. They also said it has something to do with the way that Indy cuts the asphalt up. Supposedly they are doing diamond cutting or something like that. They haven't had this bad a tire wear problem all season. But Goodyear really needed to test a car well before this event. All I know is they better fix it before they go back to Indy. Come with a harder compound tire or something.

I heard its in the talks of California Speedway become a restrictor plate race in the comin next year or two. Don't know if it's 100%, but I heard it was in the talks.
