It's the blind landing, without enough rotation. I'm getting old, the brass ***** are pretty tarnished.

just turn your head farther. your body will follow. and plus you can see the landing that way. you'll be a slittle sloppy the first few times, but you can get the hang of it

Hellz Yeah... w/ da snow level hovering around 6500-7000, Kirkwood would probably be best for those heading out during this first wave of storms. I'm a l'il apprehensive considering it's gonna be pretty gusty. Nat'l Weather Svc predicts 90mph gusts today, but "only" as much as 45mph after.

I may roll out this wknd w/ a dude fr: my softball team. We keeping a watchful eye on the conditions to decide if it's worth it. Again, it's a pretty warm system coming thru. The snow may be a l'il mushy.

lessons help a lot in the very beginning, getting out on your own is not very easy. after a couple years, it gets better, and eventually it will be second nature. If you have good guidance in the beginning, it really helps you out later on

After your lesson start on some blue runs to get more speed. Try to stay out of the way of traffic. When falling clintch your fists, rather than falling on your hands. Bending your knees is key, and even though it's going to feel weird, keep your weight on your front foot. When turning from front-side to back-side do it gradually with some speed. When going slow do not make fast turns. When getting up flip your self so you are face down, the slowly get up, this will save your abs big time. No jumps on the first day. Good luck! My 2 cents.

Use protection while you are in Tahoe.

A helmet, wrists guards, and an *** crash pad thingy goes a long way.

Max... I posted up some info in the "powderhounds" rollcall thread.

But, in your case, since ya frequent Sierra... here ya go. The coordinates on the map are within a few hundred yards of the top of the Grandview chair(elev. 8852').

Have fun, bro!

Duh... of course, he's got that covered. He is heading up there w/ his lady. But if she's on the pill, blast away!

Sorry, folks. I couldn't resist the jab at the "fatherly" advice.

Just jokes. I apologize if I have offended anyone. heh heh

And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming.
