I would have scanned my concealed carry permit from Washington too if I could find it. You know up there if you have $60 and no felonies all you have to do is wait 30 days and they just give it to you.

Can people do that to get rights into California the way they buy cars in Oregon to avoid tax? Scary.

no not really, even though I remember there was some argument that by federal law any licenese issued by a state had to be recognized by all other states. my CC permit expired in 2000 so its a moot point for me anyhow.

they have cool gun laws.

My girlfriends brother got jacked by the system...and his mistakes. He had an AR15 that was set up as a long rifle. He registered it as a long rifle. Thought it was all good. Took it down to get a new scope fitted and the guy wouldn't work on it cause it wasn't registered as an assault rifle. It got "transfered" to a guy in washington.

Come to find out things got changed and if he had waited 2 months he could have kept it.

I was pissed. I loved that gun.

I'm aware of that. So is speeding. So is pissing in public. I'm aware of all that and still do it.

And nobody said anything about storeing a 'loaded' firearm. I just said firearm(s)

It was basically to show that I am anti guns. I've had plenty of them in my hands and even a few pointed at me and a couple fired at me.

Point was to show that...that's it. I just don't think it's wise to have guns scattered around your house...especially loaded guns. If you're a single dude and live in alone or with a adult room mates...maybe. but if you have kids, a wife. It's just not smart.

Some people "think" they are willing to pull that trigger..but not many people are. I have MANY family members on the force and many friends in the armed services..including one that was general discharged for not having the capacity to kill.

Some people it's fine...not saying it's everyone. Just saying a lot of people it's a bad bad idea. The likely hood of you getting yourself or a family member killed increases by a huge margin when you start pullin guns are intruders. Or have 5 guns spread around the house where they already could have found one...see what I'm saying?

Not saying for everyone. lots of people are educated with their firearms and educate their families...most do not.

buddy of mine spent months in a coma and 8-10 surgeries coming back from getting shot in the head....by a damn pellet gun in the garage of his buddies house. yeah a pellet gun. Loaded guns are not wise.

I'll stick by it just as hard as I'll stick by my right to own a fire arm of my choice.

Liberals/democrats hate guns (most of em). They don't know why, they know only that they have to. Because the mighty democratic/liberal party dictates that guns are bad....lol. Just kidding girls, settle down. Way before I knew that there were two mighty forces battling it out for the power to rule this nation, I thought bugs bunny, donald duck, the super friends, and guns were totally cool. Today at a ripe age of 32 (I'll still run circles around you youngsters) I still do.

I grew up, joined the military, and later found a career where I could put some of that experience to use.

Regardless of what guns were made for the bottom line is, there's plenty more stuff out there that's way more dangerous.

I for one think a gun is the perfect self defense weapon. IF YOU KNOW HOW TO USE IT. Otherwise it's just as dangerous as a 16 year old behind the wheel of dads car. If you don't respect and understand it's power, you'll regret it.

Home security alarms are great if the bad guy has no intention of harming you. If he does, he'll kill you way before anyone comes to your aid. I could go set off my neighbors alarm right now and I can honestly say it will be about 15 minutes before anyone gets there. Enough time to,...well you get the point. If you think i'm just a paranoid idiot, try telling me that people don't get murdered, raped, kidnaped, robbed, or just beaten up for the hell of it. You can't. If you're one of those people that thinks, "It will never happen to me." Good luck. May you never cross Murphy's path.

I keep one gun at home and my German Shepherd. In my opinion that's the absolute best combination for home defense...lol.

note:
carrying conceald is a crime if you're not a peace officer or have a CCW. But hell, if you get caught it's only a misdemeanor. Don't get caught carrying a switch blade, they'll lock you up for life...lol. Criminals carry guns, I think everyone else should be able to as well. It works in most states. It's up to you if you want to use it. If not, then give the criminal with the gun your cash and keep the rosco hidden away in it's holster....lol...it's up to you.
