On top of all this your going to have to vote Republican regardless of what your political opinions may be. In fact, you will lose all intelligence related to social issues and that will be replaced by a strong desire to shoot animals. In order to shoot these animals you will have to do one of two things. Jump from your vehicle firing or spend a large portion of your income on hunting gear which you will use to aid you in stalking your prey. That should give you a pretty good start.
I myself own 3 guns, a 12 gauge, 4:10 and a 30-30 for deer. The only reason I don't have my Sig yet is that I don't have the money right now. But I do feel sorry for you guys in CA. My buddy bought a Bushmaster X-15 (basically a M4 without automatic) when the nationwide assault weapons ban expired, that thing is friggin sweet.
Gun ownership is one of the basics of American free society. It is a right that many men have died to preserve along with all of our other freedoms. You should take full advantage of that right if you are so inclined and if you aren't so inclined then stop *****ing about the law abiding citizens that do own guns.

Purchasing a gun for home security is stupid. I'll say it time and time again. I grew up with guns. I had acccess to guns. I used to have a false floor in my truck for gun storage. It's still stupid. Keeping a loaded gun where you and others have EASY access to is not wise. That's how people get killed. And what's the purpose of leaving one unloaded with easy access to ammo?
In a home invasion you are not going to have time to walk to your gun cabinet and unlock it. Or go to your closet, pull out your gun case, unlock it, unlock the amo side and load it. Then walk out and tell the robber you have not idea if he is armed or not to get the ***c out.
On top of that are you really willing to pull the trigger? HONESTLY. Because if you are not willing to end another persons life INSTANTLY you will hesitate and you'll get yourself or a loved one killed.
More than a few people have been shot with their own guns. Like the Game..haa.
I understand home protection and what not. But for MOST people it's not a wise idea. Buy a security system.
That's why you eat, sleep, ish with your gat. Ya heard me dawg! But seriously, if you have any doubts about your ability to pull the trigger to defend yourself carrying a weapon is a disservice to you. If a robber decides he is going to rob you chances are he will rob you and leave. He doesn't want a murder charge any more than the next guy. If you pull a gun though, and he is forced to defend himselve then you just took a huge gamble. If you don't hesitate you'll A)probably blow him away and end up in court since criminals have so many rights now or B) hesitate and get shot in the face. That's just my opinion. The moral of the story is...............only carry a gun if your not afraid to use it and you have the mental capacity to determine when to shot and when to refrain.

yes, i am prepared to shoot another person. but it doesnt mean everything has to end in a shootout. this is a misconception.
yes, i have made provisions to have a firearm within reach anywhere within my home.
yes, firearms ARENT for everyone.
btw, your false floor in your vehicle to store a loaded firearm is a crime, in kalifornia.

Yeah, but guns were made to kill, and cars were made to transport people, you can't really use that arguement because people get killed from...just about anything...from drinking too much water to falling off rollercoaster rides. The problem with guns is that...the nature of the gun is to kill people. Personally though, I thikn guns are really cool, the feel and look of one, just like a car, and I would only get a gun to shoot at the ranges or what not. I can see why many people have problems with guns, like I have said before, it is made to kill, not to be looked at or played with. I think, also, a big reason why automobile causes so many deaths is because there are SO many cars out there every single day, and licenses are way too easy to get it.

Just because a man drives a powerful car in the same respect a good ‘ole boy lacks proper firearm safety does not justify a ban. There would be a domino effect if this wasn't the case.
That said, you should feel the need to ban sports cars too, right? Shouldn't be any question about it whatsoever. Then after that you can move to ban any other potentially dangerous machinery.
Should I call the recyclers for your STi or should you?

to me? yes, i do feel safer having firearms around the house.
i train with them and make sure that they are in a safe place. IMO, having an UNLOADED, locked firearm is like having a very expensive jewelry.
and yes, it does mean that you have to TEACH your children to handle them in the safe and correct manner. otherwise, YOU ARE heading for problems.

Probably wouldnt belive this but I used to be a gunners mate in the Navy and manned an M2 station on my ship and loved it. I used to shoot competitivly and Im probably one of the only members on this forum thats had a concealed carry permit.

Im not an "anti-gun" person, and I dont think guns should be banned, there are alot of stupid gun owners out there, and alot of stupid car owners too, and I hate it when I hear about either one being used irresponsibly and getting people hurt or killed. Im glad your safe with yours, hopefully everyone else here is too, just remember that no one EVER bought a gun thinking it would be the one they would hurt themselves or someone close to them with. (except Kurt Kobain
)Peace

If you replace "guns" and certain keywords in some of these posts with prejudiced words they begin to sound like that of a bigot. Try it.
