Hey fellow subbies :)
Hey guys,
Well I finally decided its time to register to a few of these forums and see what the hype is all about! I have had my WRX for a year now and I'm just getting into the mod world. Currently I have a Cobb Accessport and I am currently waiting for my intake and box! I am a bit excited to install it
I do have a question in regards to places to take my car too for maintenance stuff.. I refuse to take it to the dealership because they are just tooo slow. Hopefully I will see some of you i-club fans out on the road

Should have come here sooner because you could have bought something other than that intake
IMO, on these cars an intake isn't the place to start. You didn't list WHERE so that sort of makes it tough to provide a shop in your area.

I use the Subaru oil from the dealer and for the price, I'd say stick with that.
That's the sort of thing you'll want to search on because we have endless numbers of threads on filters and oil here.

Yeah, I have been looking for about a week now and people are saying Motul, Amsoil, Royal Purple. Does it really make the difference if I go completely synthetic? I dont do any track but I do want to be sure my engine is treated nicely. I do tend to have spirited driving every now and then but its not super often.

East Bay.... Go to GST.
Other shops I recommend are LIC in the north bay, FW in the sac area and Speed Element out in San Jose.
But Mike is where I'd go if I were you (GST). If you have any questions just do a google search on GST Motorsports L Time Attack.
I've had a lot of work done at GST and never had a regret.
As for your mod choice... you said Box so I'm guessing you got the ARC intake? If so that's a nice one. Most folks are going to tell you an intake is a mistake... and unlike hondas and other non turbo motors there isn't much to gain in most cases and often times they can be detrimental to your build. But I've been running the SPT intake for about 150,000 miles with no issues.
My advice... since you already got the intake...
Pick up a nice exhaust and a downpipe of your choice. Something higher flowing. Install all the parts at once. Go see Mike at GST for a custom tune.
That's a good place to start... exhaust and a tune.
