HELP! Window Stuck Down

I drive a 2000 Impreza 2.5RS and this weekend my driver's side window got stuck 1/4 of the way down. I took apart the door and it appears that the motor is trying to work, but can't. I don't hear any grinding or other funky sounds, just the slight hum of the motor trying to turn. Unfortunately, after messing around with it for a while I realized that removing the motor is beyond my capabilities. Can anyone suggest a repair place that I can get this fixed at? It is well beyond the warranty period, so a dealer will probably be very expensive.

I'm in East Bay (Newark), but anywhere near Fremont or on the Peninsula would be fine.

Thanks,
