"Rev at 1.5, 2k, 2.5k, 3k" Blah blah blah... with the meter right at the end of the exhaust tip.

dude, i thought those things were to be measured from 50 ft away from exhaust and if it was at 95 dB then it was illegal...not at the exhaust tip....

Yep. This guy was a motorcycle cop and he is known for only ticketing people. You never see him at any other type of call. Accidents, robberies, etc, he would not be there he is just a ticket writer. I hear (unofficially) that he is not too popular with other cops because of this. This guy is why I’m hesitant on getting the STI when I graduate from collage. I’m really considering going stealth with the quietest pipes I can get. But with this guy, as I have been told, once he locks on to you, your nailed for what ever reason he can think of.

Solution: Legacy GT

I am sorry to hear that, I went to MSJ High School in Fremont back in the day (grad. 95) Back then Rossette was driving a motorcycle...and he has ALWAYZ harrassed young ppl driving around...always....he has given soooooo many BS tickets its not even funny. He is a crooked cop, and is the type to abuse his authority....which he has done on a regular basis for as long as I can remember....unfortuneatly, you are f*cked.....but nonetheless, he has been a problem for years....and anyone that doesnt know who he is......trust me when I say you dont want to know....be glad you dont know of him.....he is the definition of a crooked cop.

I would gladly sign any petition to have his crooked a$$ removed, fired, or whatever can be done.

I am sorry to hear you had to have a run-in with that jerk.

Officer Rossette of the Fremont PD....

Yea I'm probably going to get a petition to get him fired/removed/transferred. Heard about 90% of his pulls are asian drivers. That IS discrimination ladies and gentlemen.

does that on-line petition thing work?

I remember them having one for illegal HIDs. make a petition and i'll sign it too. I wonder if you have to be a Fremont resident?

We have enough fremont people on BAIC to do it. **** I'd even go door to door to get that petition signed by people who don't even know that dude. 'CAuse you know... more then 75% of the people in the country hate cops. They'd sign anything to **** with 'em. Even if it wasn't about cars, they still don't like 'em.

actually the 50 foot thing is also with exhaust systems
it's 95 db at 50 ft distance
however, there is also a clause that was added to that original ruling in like 1957? 59? i forget.. that says that is it up to the officer's discretion. so if he deems it is too loud, he can still write u up. so it really depends who pulls u over for that

Still givin' a ticket to an IMPORT car for that is a load of BS. Harley's rev up sputterin' around ALL the time, you can hear it from like half a mile away. He just gave me a ticket just 'cause I was an import car.
