BTW, I added a gallon of E85 when I smogged your car, probably would have passed fine anyhow but the numbers all came down better than a brand new car. It really does make those numbers drop

My car is a 1998 2.5RS coupe though.

Oh man, I registered it yesterday and the AAA lady was all grumpy. She gave me hassles with the smog saying it was from a different car and all that since the license plates didn't match (but the VIN did). DOH! Anyway I talked her into it and it's all settled. Silly people.

oh yeah ****, forgot to mention I got it without plates so the DMV had to assign new ones, it should have been right there on the paper work if her lazy *** would have checked!

I pointed to the "$655 paid" line on the previous registration, explaining that since it was obviously an excessive amount for a 1998 Subaru, "perhaps the previous owner had back registration to handle" and that is why a new plate was issued. She snapped at me something like "that has nothing to do with it, this smog is for the wrong car." So before asking for her manager or whatever, I gave her a chance to compare the VINs and said nothing about the fact that the engine size was also incorrect on the smog cert.

Since I have smogged lots of cars that were not present in the past, I usually overlook these sorts of things.
