I used to sell those thangs!
one of things pointed out in another forum was that... dude was in HIGH RANGE in the transfer case.

so he kept giving it gas and BOOM... front end decided to spin the front right tire and BYE BYE... n00bs...

i have a link to a funny H1 video where all the H1s were taking on the big mud holes while the H2 was going around it... funny scene...

and THAT folks, is why you dont try and wheel with IFS (stock H2), unless its BUILT, especially with GM's crappy IFS setup, Zero front end wheel travel. LOL, just because its called a "Hummer" doesnt mean it REALLY IS ONE, its a glorified 4 door Tahoe ....however, my truck has crawled worse than that No Problem, then again, I built it for that stuff. But none-the-less, I am converting to a Solid axle up front as soon as I get my credit cards paid off, so I dont ever run into that problem!

Hi-range would not have caused the tie rods to snap like that....if the t-case or the front end went by by...you would have heard alot louder snap and grinding than that....those were most definitely the tie rods...and when they snapped it caused the half shaft to come out of its seat and well, you see what happens....extreme toe in...LMAO....n00bs, Also, if the right front tire started to spin....that just means that d00d didnt have lockers....another n00b mistake...try and go wheeling on a trail like that without lockers....what a chode.
