I was going to say yesterday that if he let you look at them didnt seem like he had anything to hide.
yeah he was really a nice guy and we talked about the car and chatted for a while and we opened the boxes and looked at every wheel and I dunno how I missed it...
he said he had them in the storage and that's probably where it happened
we're meeting tonight to give them back
lesson learned

So it looks like you did get your money back from this guy last week? Would be great if you reply on both the threads, wouldnt want there to be any confusion.

You got those cheap. You should have known something was up. You also get what you pay for. Take it as a learning lesson and move forward.

When you buy something used. ITS USED!!! You can't go back later for a refund or try and make the guy pay you back. I know this is going to upset some of you. But ****... what is this world coming to. You want cheap and perfect, and if its something you missed on inspection you expect something in return? You inspected it, You bought it. You learn from it.
Like I said ... I'm not trying to be a dick. I'm just throwing this out there. And yes... I have been screwed over in the past much worse.
Just saw this thread because of the second guy getting hosed on these wheels an just saw this post.

BULL****>

Used or new a product is expected to be delivered as advertised. When I put my wheels up for sale and eventually traded them I was VERY VERY clear of the condition they were in to avoid this kind of situation. Good deal or not.

If a product is sold as AS NEW CONDITION they should be in that condition. The buyer is kind of hosed because he didn't review the product but giving the seller a way out by saying you get what you pay for is bull****. It is a SHADY deal any way you look at it and if the person is a member here or nasioc I hope he is exposed and never sells anything to another user again.

If he had put it up for $175 and said... three wheels in decent condition with curbage or scratches and one cracked wheel and the buyer picked it up and said... hey man this wheel is cracked give me my money back I would say you are totally correct... He got what he was sold and it would still be a reasonable deal.

For one thing, selling a cracked wheel is very dangerous. There is no way in hell I would repair a cracked rota.

You're right about the learn from it. I had to. But in this case I would do what the O.P. and the new guy are doing. I'd come at the dude for a refund or I'd take that cracked wheel paint it bright pink, take a **** in it and leave it on his door step and buy a replacement wheel.

I just saw both of the threads, I returned the wheels the next day...
It sucks that he went that way, cause I saw his new ads on CL with the correct description.. but anyways, sorry to see someone else got screwed too, but last time we met in Fremont, and he was driving a mazada 3, but he matches the description well
