I drove my friend John up to Steven's Creek and Saratoga today to buy some Rota Revs that were claimed to be "brand new and in box and in perfect condition". to start things off the guy was 30 minutes late, which is acceptable but then it went down hill fast. We drove about 30 miles to buy these wheels (17x8 +45 brand new rota revs without tires and the price was agreed on as $175 for all four) which was a steal so john decided to swoop on it. anyway after he got there he took out the boxes with the wheels and upon looking at the first wheel we saw several scratches and scuffs which wasnt alarming because the price was right, then second wheel also had scuffs and very minor curbage. however the third wheel, keep in mind he said these were brand new and in perfect condition, had curbage on 75% of the circumference of the wheel. the fourth wheel which he tried to keep hidden in the car, i had to ask him to bring it out, after he brought it out and i pulled away the plastic and what not there were huge scratches and lots of curbage around the entire wheel and one of the spokes was CRACKED! the entire spoke had seperated from the wheel! he were both like wtf is this bro and he pretended not to know anything about it...so we said no thanks we'll pass. the guy was very rude and even shadier considering we just drove 30 miles and waited half an hour to see the wheels:/ he drove an 04 silver wrx with some fugly silver 17" wheels and the car had been lowered on springs.

he's been trying to sell that set on CL for the longest time... At first his adds were legit saying one was broken... or maybe he swopped on the original add then realized it was cracked then tried to flip it... either way, thats pretty messed up

i feel like it'd be smarter to tell everyone theyre cracked and try and get 100 for it or whatever rather than lie about it...
