my friend got 120hz which is cool for action...But is it me or do images seem to float around when they arent moving very fast?
and watching westerns sucks in 120hz...totally ruins it IMO...its too clear looking, like too many frames going on in 1 second.

haha ya rly. It's just weird seeing watching some old westerns with my friend...seeing Clint Eastwood and John Wayne so clearly kinda takes away from it all IMO
But thats not my main grudge, its the way the people float on screen. I noticed watching Lost. The movement looks good when there is movement, but when they are at rest it looks dizzying to me.

yeah that makes sense. I think its because we are used to 24 or 30fps then we see 60fps or whatever it is and we see the natural movement, since nothing is ever perfectly still.
i thought 60fps was only used for slow mo capture? because movies are always 24 i thought. and reality tv 30fps
But for the westerns? it looks soooo much clearer and smooth, i guess they used really good cameras or something.

Video Games shoot for 60fps for the best performance, but usually average around 30. (Really depends on the title, there are alot that run at 60fps).
