Go 720P, 1080 makes no difference unless you have blue ray. The TV can only be as clear as the signal that is coming to it, and right now, everything is 720, even high def stuff, or so I heard.

Unless that's a 7 or an 8 series, that seems a little high. CC had a package deal with a 46" Z series (I think it's comparable to the a630 or a650) + blu-ray home theater system for $1500 a few weeks back. Plus any coupon you can find, like 10% off to save tax and stuff.

Or even this:

Use 6ave.com with CAT6OFF coupon to get this TV for $1492.72.

Good luck shopping guys, and remember, the Superbowl is only a few weeks away, so there will most likely be some better deals coming soon.

That used to be good advice when 1080p televisions were double or triple the price they are today. With prices the way they are now it's better to just get a 1080p set and not have to think about upgrading it down the road when Blu-ray players get to $100 a piece.

2X more pixels is 2x more pixels. At larger sizes (40ish inches), and bigger it's easily visible when viewing 1080 signals.

Doesn't matter, if you have DVI output you can use a simple conversion cable to HDMI or adapter. I use one with my ATI card, and it passes Audio through just fine as well.

Pretty good TV, good price.

This will more than likely be a better picture, smaller size, similar price (offer good at frys til Thursday):

The only reason the Toshiba will be better is if it can do that 14bit processing on all inputs, not just the ATSC tuner. Many won't tell you that.

I can definitely vouch for sony, they make sharp LCD tvs.
