Good LCD TV (Gagan get in here!)
Hmm good point. Yeah they just want me to start looking around for them.
I found a 42" 1080p Vizio for $897 at Walmart and a 37" 720p vizio at walmart for $599..
I remember your post about sharps having the banding issues and i youtubed it and saw what it was and that is very bad for a brand like sharp to even produce. It's sad that a reputable brand would allow that to leave their factories.
I don't want them to get 720p out of principle but then again they won't ever get HD or a bluray player. They just want a bigger, less power using, thinner tv mainly.

I'd get the refurbished one off Tiger and then call up Vizio and buy a direct extended warranty for:

my friend just bought a samsung 32" off ebay for $290. it was from a store that was liquidating all their stuff. he bought stuff from them before thinking it was used or refurbished, but when he received his items, they were brand new, so he's been buying electronic stuff from them ever since. he probably bought 5 items from them already and they were brand new. just lettin ya know, i can get the ebay store for ya if you want
Not many TVs have USB inputs, while many have Ethernet for network access of jpegs.

Gagan, I found a 42" Vizio 1080p for $799 at Walmart, I think I am gonna try to talk them into that one.

seems like a pretty damn good deal. If you are willing to spend $600 why not $200 more for a much better setup. I hate when people buy into the past.. buy for the future so you're not obsolete the moment you leave the store lol.

Just make sure it's not after rebate, as TD is infamous for never fulfilling them, or taking ages. Not worth the headache.

Cool thanks.. I'll look at Panasonics. But the ethernet might work too depending on how it works.
