I think you have nothing to lose by calling the cop. If you don't; bet your **** that your license plate number is getting logged somewhere and you will be pulled over.

Swap the DP, call the officer and also submit a complain to his supervisor about the whole bull**** "I'll ticket if you don't call" part. make it clear that you have no legal obligation to call him, nor does he have any right to write you any kind of ticket since he didn't see or hear your car in the first place.

The cops obviously know this lady. Since he sort of gave you the benefit of the doubt AND an out, as Huck is saying, you should take that route. Because this is the sort of thing that cops really don't have time to "look into" these days, and they probably hate that lady for the constant semi-pointless calls.

To the op, sounds like your GF pops is a nice guy. I do agree with what other people have said, no obligation but if your GF pops took the time to write you a message, follow up on it.

made me lol! I agree with the majority put your stock exhaust back on. If it was me I would go back one night with my very loud motorcycle and rev the **** outa that thing in her drive way.
