and if you google search AP vs Ecutek. I only read the first hit a couple days ago, still need to do more research.
and again, access ports are garbage.

No. And I only seek advice from my professional tuner, not 3 people on iwsti.com
If you have some concerns about tuning on an 08+ with an AP you should talk to some tuners. We have some really good ones here who have tuned dozens of 08+ cars, they will give you a lot better advice than iwsti.com.

I'll tell you that I personally tuned many 08/09's with Cobb and Open Source tools and they all give access to the same maps and parameters. Its up to the tuner to set them up properly and I have had zero issues with throttle control with both SI-Drive cars and non SI-Drive.
And why do you believe the Access Port is "garbage"?
Thanks

I don't know a whole lot about tuning, but I do know this:
AP allows the tuner to flash the ECU while the car is still running compared to the ECUTek, where you need to turn the car off, flash, restart and tune again. This feature allows a lot more fine tuning of the RPM band in a much shorter time. This is also why my car, equipped with an ECUTek, takes over 5 hours to tune.

So you're basing your big assumption on what a single user said when other users are refuting his point?
