I find em all the time on line, how bout here:
http://www.unimogsales.com/unimog-for-sale.html
those look wayyyy euro. I would love to have a new one! they are the coolest things ever. tractor tread all the way haha. drive to the store and get some milk honey lol.

otherwise we get all the older ones for whatever reason, and 1/2 get parted out for 4x projects it seems like.

1 of my neighbors has one, and my friends neighbor does too, and i see them on the freeway going 55 lol. But they are spoken for, for life

Maybe i should work for the CalTrain equivalent in Europe, drive those around all day. Mr. Plow!

Loma Prieta rocked us and it wasn't even that big of an earthquake. Imagine an 8.5 or something, remember, each .1 it goes up it is 10x stronger then the previous .1. So going from a 7.0 to an 8.5 is mind boggling. Now imagine that for 30 seconds or a min (which is common). We'd run into some major problems.

What about the fall of our gov't. Remember the USSR in the early 90s? Do you remember what happened to the people? People no longer had access to food... Now imagine if that happened in the USA? The soviets were used to not having food... We, Americans will die if we skip dinner, so imagine if all food is taken away due to demand and no supply? What then will we do? I'll tell you what we'll do, it's what we Americans do best... We RIOT!!!

I don't fear anything more on this planet then I fear humans.

When living in the BA, my biggest concern was a mob; unruly types bent on mayhem.
In certain areas, it won't take much to light that fuse.

When the BART officer walks from murder charges, you'll see.

Edit: I would pick the USMC FAV (militarized Mercedes G-Wagon) as my vehicle of choice in any situation.

Pretty sweet project you have there man! Any interior shots? I know when you do something you do it right so I have no doubts on your ability to make a short school bus into something bad ***!

Thanks Daniel. I don't have any pics of the interior stuff done. It's currently full of stuff that needs to get installed. Taking it to a fabricator that's going to build the aux. fuel tank and battery storage box tomorrow. I'll will put a link to the build up when I get around to it. My wife and I are planning to tour the U.S. for 12 months, starting in May. We will be doing a ride journal on our trip with pics and what not.

I would like to paint it, but thats last on my list as the current paint is ok.
I was thinking about painting each side a different camo (desert, woodland, urban camo, blue urban camo)

When that day comes, which I hear will be in 2012, I will head for the hills with my fishing gear, my dog, and as much water as I can carry. Oh, also a couple lighters and some matches just in case.

I just hung out with my neighbor who works for:

http://www.armoredmobility.com/index_files/Page324.htm

he had a piece that was hit with slugs in a shotgun shell from 10 feet...3 hits in the same place in the armor and it was barely going thru. granted the other side would put a 3 inch dent into your body at that point. The other side looked like a severe case of hemorrhoids lol sorry that's the only thing that describes it...not that i've seen what that looks like, i can only assume.

He's the first neighbor im running to!

Ill-Prepared but I do have a small stash of ammo and enough guns for everyone in my household to defend themselves with or even go jack others

Like most other people my mom has supplies tucked away such as 20 or more 1 gallon or bigger water bottles, we have wood downstairs for fires. Have plenty of camping gear like sleeping bags, and air matteresses, electric air pump that runs off car battery hookups. Main thing that would be needed to survive is food besides the MRE's we have stashed. I have a crap load of fireworks too we could use for signaling or for lightiing

LBoogie that was just stright funny though. Looting For Dummies
