Do you guy have emergency backup plans in case of a disaster?
I was amazed at how many of my friends didn't have any kind of emergency plans in case something really bad happened (natural disaster, etc).
If they aren't ready, then I'm sure many of you aren't either. I started this thread just to encourage you guys to put away some emergency supplies such as bottled water, candles, lighters, canned food, batteries, clothes and blankets... All ready to go at a moments notice.
I used to be big into the outdoors so naturally I have a ton of supplies for 8 people ready to go and enough to last us at least 2 months. Not to mention all the guns and ammo I need in case I need to hunt for food and or defense/protection.
I'm curious to see what sort of plans you guys have in case something goes down.
1. What do you have for food and water?
2. What do you have for blankets/shelter/warmth
3. What do you have for weapons?
4. Where will you go if you have to evacuate your house/area?
5. What sort of transport do you have?
I have several locations that I have pre-selected in the mountains where my family and I can seek refuge. Locations anywhere from 50 miles from my house, to locations in different states. The best locations are mild/dry areas with plenty of trees and natural resources including water... Things like caves and natural shelters are always a plus when selecting a refuge.
Packing for everyone in your immediate family, then add two to that in case you pick a couple others up.
People may say that I'm paranoid of things like this, but its more a matter of being prepared for anything. I don't think we're going to run into something so crazy that we'll have to flee the state, but its always good to be prepared in case you do need to. I also really enjoy doing this kind of stuff, almost like a hobby in being prepared. I'd rather look paranoid and be prepared then look normal and be **** out of luck when something happens!

only disaster i am ready for is the zombie apocalypse.
I got my weapons planned out and my transportation (with extreme modifications).
Oh yeahh... I can just picture it now.
I am really looking forward to 2012.
BruceLee, it is our soul responsibility to round up as many croatian girls as we can on a heavily modified bus and continue our race.

I'll just go with your family because you pack all the ammo n' guns.
I say that because people in the water industry said they will be sending 15% of what people are asking for in water supply because of scarcity of water. So when in doubt, you walk behind the guy with the gun who can take what he needs if need be. =D

hahah, yeah... Croatian girls... *drool*
You know, if you have firearms you don't actually NEED any other supplies... After all, you can just take whatever you wanted...
Cars, food, candy from babies, etc...

Use camping gear to cook with. Propane stoves can heat food and boil water. 12-volt converters for small electrical items works great in the car if you are able to find gasoline.
If it is a national state of emergency, I plan to take advantage of the ensuing chaos to take back control (by force, if necessary) of NASIOC from the infidels.

1. What do you have for food and water?
Food in the house. yikes. Mountain House brand dried food is pretty good FYI (any other brands that are good? i guess they all are with 100%+ sodium 300% cholesterol lol)
2. What do you have for blankets/shelter/warmth
Blankets and shelter lol
3. What do you have for weapons?
Shotgun and my macho neighbor might lend me some stuff
4. Where will you go if you have to evacuate your house/area?
away from the disaster, others shelters, away from all the low life bay area population
5. What sort of transport do you have?
Dirtbikes...the ONLY kind of transport that can go over any obstacle better than any other ground vehicle made...unless there's a deep river lol.
