Are you talking about balance of the paint as in the application and coating? It is like any other paint application, you need to do it right the first time, taking time, dusting light coats, and so on. It will look no different than any other application if done with patients and correctness.

I personally prefer it based on the ease of removing and forgiveness. Not to mention they have every color you can imagine and even clear coat applications these days.

dumb question.... who many hours do you guys wait between coats of paint?

I did 2 coats of primer with about 4 hours between, then overnight before doing paint. No problem. But when I did a few coats of the paint with just a few hours between that was bad.

No I'm talking about the balance of your wheels. Like you need to have them re balanced after plastidip.

I usually wait till it's tacky at the longest. I spray, wait about 30 mins and spray again.

Lolll no it won't throw the weight balance off...... Regular paint can be heavier than plasti dip. Dipping the whole car will be light as hell too. They weighed it.

Yes it can and will unless you got skills and paint the inside of the wheel well too, and perfectly even.

I paint for a living, just saying.

When you balance a wheel you usually add .25 or .5 oz at a time (usually) to balance it out. So unless a full can of dip weighs less than that, it can effect the balance if not applied evenly is all Im saying.

Im not saying its heavy, but if .25oz can make a difference when balancing, I think its plausible to say that adding another layer (or two) of any substance (paint, dirt or otherwise) can and will change the balance of a wheel slightly.
