I would call comcast, sounds like you have a overstrong signal on your line that is messing up the connection. They have a +/-DB they must stay inside of or things don't work right. I had the same problem, they came out, found it, changed a booster down the street and *snap* no down times.

 

someone mentioned they were getting half speeds with the rate they pay for a certain dsl plan..

i got booted off comcast for exceeding the cap.

so i had to go back to dsl 6mbps..

but during PEAK hours, im BARELY getting 1Mbps.. its freaking slow! only during nighttime do i get full speed..

wth? i dont know where to start.. soeone mentioned running tests and packet loss.. can you elaborate.. thanks

 

Same here, sucks going from a 20mbps connection back to 6mbps. My friend just signed up to comcast and they are throttling his connection way back.
