if some of you want to bring a very small trinket, or something to put in our memorial container box, it'll be at the meet tonight so people can sign the log book with a message.
please keep the item small. here is a couple pictures of the container

Is there anyone in the Fremont area that could possibly give me a ride to the memorial ? I really want to drive out but I really screwed up my ankle and it makes driving a manual (clutch) really difficult. I really want to go out and pay my respects to Daniel...
I don't know what to say really, nothing I can think of seems fitting or good enough... But I will repeat a quote from the legendary Bruce Lee (the real one).
"The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering". - Bruce Lee
As long as we keep Daniel in our thoughts he will remain in our lives and his life will live on.
It's really heartwarming to see everyone reaching out in the way that they are... You guys are a great bunch of people and I know that Daniel would appreciate every single one of your comments/prayers. I've known Daniel for quite some time and we've hung out a few times and I've hung out with him at meets back in the day so this is especially hard for me... It's hard enough to lose someone who was part of our community, but so much more difficult when you actually knew the person on a level of friendship.
I read through this thread last night... And I know this is going to sound strange, but it didn't really hit me fully until I saw the pictures that Jeff (rescuer) posted of the crash sight, particularly the shot of his broken headlight and other wreckage of his car... Those pics hit me really hard and really brought a tear to my eye. I showed my wife and she was taken back and she didn't even know him. It's so terrible to have to go through this kind of thing so my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones... I know they are going through something that is beyond difficult... No parent should ever have to bury their own kin... *sigh*
I'm so damn sad right now and can't get myself to do anything... I can't even eat because I have no appetite.
RIP Daniel, you'll be missed by many and may your memories live on in the minds of your friends and loved ones. I won't ever forget you, and I know many others wont either.
Just the outreach in this thread shows how much people cared about him... We're just a car club and look how much love and care has been expressed towards him from a bunch of car guys/gals.
I hope to see you guys on Friday

I was a bit confused and thought it was tomorrow, but it looks like everyone is meeting tonight at MVKK (I just walked to walter on the phone). I will do my best to make it out there... Hopefully I'll see you all tonight.
