Pretty crazy... It was really interesting to meet so many people last night. Hearing all the stories of how Daniel was the first person they met or who welcomed them into the club... I have been a member of i-club for something like 8 years now, and got into the group when I met Alex at an Oakland auto-x around 10 years ago... but... I met more people, even people I have talked to online for YEARS - last night and because of Daniel. I did not know him well, but I know he was a nice and funny guy, and I remember him at The Duke. I was really moved by all the people that came out for this, and how it all went last night. My heart stopped for a minute when I saw his car drive in. Too many friends and family have taken their lives or had their lives taken in this way. I cannot help the usage of the word but standing there staring at his car was sobering like a huge slap in the face. I do not drink and drive but I have friends that do. I will NEVER understand what could possibly be worth it.
It was so great to meet new and old friends, and amazing to see the support of a member down as well as the effect support and care has on his family.
Rest In Peace Daniel, you have made the world a better place while you were here and maybe you were just finished with this life...

I created an FTP account on wombatsauce.com for everyone to use for this.
Sorry about the account name/pass - wouldn't let me be simple and I tried a few different things.
FTP to: ftp.wombatsauce.com
user: joebobbucket
pass: srp_w4g
Hope this helps some... Don't worry about space, there is around 300GB free at the moment.

A funny thing happened...
i got to the meet at 8-915 went back to work to kick the basketball players out by 10:15 (they usually take til 10:20 to leave so i can lock up) and they were all out by 10:08 and i was in my car at 10:10 and got to MVKK at 10:15 in time for me to sneak in next to Sharky, with keys in hand haha:

so awesome, thanks for kicking the ballers out early Dan! At 10:08 I was like, "wow that never happens!"

Great meet!
Kiran and I found it great that we got to put faces to people we had not met before, which is pretty rare, but there are lots of newer people on the club these days.
Great to see people I haven't seen in a long long time. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Still people I wanted to meet but didn't find the time.
Was weird to see his car, but not see or hear him. I just kept hearing him in my mind, and seeing him smile.

I think I saw you talking to Aaron at one point, then some where else, but I never made it over to you.
Also missed Rachel, mostly cause she seemed to moving around everywhere.
Great pics! I can't wait to see more!
Me, Rachel? I have the attention span of a circus chimp :-/
I really wanted to introduce myself but everytime I saw you, you were talking to someone and didn't want to interrupt. I did oogle your car tho

All - I wanted to mention that the FTP space I set up is for everyone to use at will, go ahead and dump the pics there, that way anyone of us can log in and get them all and they will not be compressed or anything. Just an idea.

I was the weirdo with the dress shirt, skinny tie, sport coat, and scarf on.
I had a great time and I got to talk to some people I never really got a chance to talk to before. Even though half my conversations were about food. I looovveee food.

Here's my photos. I will hand off a copy of my photos to either Jeff or someone so they can upload it to the FTP. When it comes to digital files, I only know how to download. Sorry. And another sorry for Jacob, I think it was Jacob's Camaro that I bumped into while taking photos.
