2/14/10 I'm sorry to have to tell all of you this, but Daniel Wentz (JoeBobBucket) died in a fatal car accident early Valentine's Day morning. His mother contacted me via Facebook in the afternoon and did not know many details as of then. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers right now.

Out of respect to his family, I am not posting any major details besides the Mercury article above. I will tell you that Daniel was not driving his own car (because several of you have asked about his wagon). Those of us with him last night took his keys from him and left his car where we were in Mountain View. The accident was very high speed and Daniel died on impact.

I met Daniel through Semper (Hello_Rex) shortly before I moved up here. Once I moved up here he became one of the few good friends I've made while I've been here. Always down to hang out and shoot the **** and very supportive of whatever was going on. Even though I knew him for probably less than a year, he always had the attitude of "You need help? Sure, what do you need?" Such a great, no nonsense guy. He will definitely be missed. People as open and caring to new friends as he was are definitely a rare commodity.

Wtf?!?! Last I heard from him was last night at 1030pm when he told me to go drinkin with him last nite at Zen... I couldn't come out... Now I really do feel bad I didn't come out with him last nite. My most sincere condolences to his family. Please keep us posted.
