Ok... so I was looking at thing thinking that the CF is legit... and then I was reading Gagan's posts... and I know Gagan knows what he is talking about and to me the main thing that shows the degree of a race car is the cockpit... so I finally clicked on the NASIOC link...

This guy just has a CF fetish...

Fiberglass?

Check out one of his pics where you can see the fender and the tab where it mounts inside the hood area, it's metal. So, more than likely the front fenders are CF over steel/aluminium.

His floors are definitely CF over the oe metal floors. The door skins on outside are more than likely CF.

He claims it's all dry carbon, but he did a lot of the interior himself, since i doubt he has an autoclave... He names no brands or anything in any threads about the CF panelling. he made his own diffuser, he used some kevlar and some other stuff.

Dude has money, but yeah, pretty unorthodox methods for "weight reduction"

A lot of it looks like those cheap CF sheets that you just stick on.

Like Jerm said, it's the new chrome.

So you have this kit?
Carbon over fenders in the back, front winglets, hood, bumper...

How much weight you think you are actually shaving? Well, I hope you didn't do it for the weight... hope you did it for the looks.

Wiley, he's not saving any weight doing what he did. Why can't one get any damn specs on his kit? Or even your kit? Launsports website keep showing me WRC kits.

I guess WRC does it for looks too. That should keep those EVO's in check.

WRC the new HIN.

Yes there is a reduction in weight. I have only test fitted the front pieces over the last week. to check for tire and suspension clearances. Its about 2/3 lighter then oem. You only gain weight on 1/4 panels as you are adding pieces to the car. I'm waiting on doors and dsus fastners before I install mine. I'm not molding or gluing my 1/4 panels on. I'm not sure on painting the car. It might or I might just drive it around a bit till I get tired of it then paint it... I already have the WRB in aircraft paint. Yes because even paint weighs allot. Bet you didnt think about that till now.
I have front bumper, fenders, 1/4 panels, rear bumper. I have my own hood, trunk, spolier and roof. I'm needing doors and looking for the lightest ones before buying.

Hell my carbon trunk - carbon wing is half the weight on the OEM unit and is a hell of allot stiffer across the wing.

As far as me "jocking" I am pointing out that a nice car has been put into a mag. And that allot of work has been put into this car. I'm also not trying to be a dick. But.. remeber .... There is allot of hard work into HIS taste. That should not be discounted from Your "new age chrome" thinking.
