Anyone interested in a "mechanic special" 2001 Legacy Outback? It's silver, auto, 140k miles and supposedly needs a transmission (auto). Belongs to family and they just want to get something else. No idea what they want for it but if anyone is interested I can find out. Shouldn't be much I would imagine. Last time I saw the car it was really nice but it's been a while. They live in Petaluma and the car is used for commuting into the city every day, hence the miles.

1984 Renault R5 Turbo 2, less than 21,500 miles on car. Rare California plate with current registration. No chaisis or body rust. Original paint, with a few blemishes & chips, but looks good. Interior is tan and is all stock, accept for OMP roll cage. New carpet & floor mats using stock style carpet. Engine has Renault race header, large inter-cooler....approx 185hp. Motor has remote oil filter w/steel braided lines for easy oil changes. Motor, just had new head gasket and injectors. All motor work has been done by R5 specialist. All parts have been purchased from John Price Rallying out of the UK.....John is the expert and champion R5 driver over in UK and has help to sort things out and supply authentic parts. The following are upgrades to the car: Bilstein shocks front & Rear, Large Aluminum Radiator, Dual Radiator fans (2nd fan manually switched), Steering Rack Stiffeners, Custom made Gotti Wheels, Rear 16 x 9, Front 15 x 7 shipped over from France. Tires are Toyo Proxes R888, Rear 245/45 R16 & Fronts are 195/50 R15.
There were less than 5,000 R5 Turbo 1's and Turbo 2's made between 1980 & 1985. Less than 500 were brought into the USA and some say 10% of those cars made it into California. The Renault R5 Turbo 2 is becoming very rare and hard to come by, in Europe, the cars sell for over $50k.
This car has not been molested and all the parts are either factory parts or aftermarket made for the car. I have all the stock parts, so the car can be put back to original (header, shocks, radiator, second set of aftermarket wheels and tires). Just Smog-ed and registered May 2012.

Lol at that mileage and it more then likly needing a headgasket, might as well do the 2nd timing belt job and waterpump while your there... easily 1000-1500+ job..
