here is my opinion on this subject:

1. cops are jackasses for doing what they do. instead of fighting crime and dealing with real criminals, they pick on kids and nice people like us with modified exhaust systems. they are just afraid of real criminals so they show how tough they are by picking on less threating people. now even though i said that, i am not generalizing since there are nice cops or cops to be like brucelee (isn't he in the academy right now)

2. kids these days are without discipline at all. they do disrespect the law and others completely. where i live the skateboarders are out making so much noise every day even until 2am in the streets. there is a skateboard park right behind us, but they don't go there, they have to disrespect. they attack the security guard that works in the area that is doing his job by telling them to go away. they tell him go back to your country all the time because he is from india. they threaten to call their dads because dads and moms are so rich.

so what is the solution for such a problem?

wow, that ****s all bad.. reminds of when i was 16 and got pulled over in milpitas, apparently i ran out of the store and sped off from a 7-11 too fast so the cop thought i robbed the place.... well after he finds out i didnt do anything, he sits me on his bumper and yells profanities at me about how im the scum of the earth for about an hour, then lets me go with a warning.. wtf?!

BTW, Paul, what would you do if your kid came home with a vid of some cop harrassing them like that? Seriously, just outta curiosity?
Skateboarding in an area marked "No Skateboarding" is not a crime.

First off, my kids have learned from me to start off being nice; Yes officer/ No, officer.
And comply with the officer.

But seeing that the cop committed assault on a 14 yr old kid, the cop needs to leave the force and appologize to the kid.

If witnesses are writing in supporting the officer, I'm interested in finding out what the deal is. Something must have happened before that video 'starts'.

Why all the skate boarding hate? I think these cops and rent-a-cops were picked on way too much as children. I can just imagine the hiring process....

Q Do you lack any personal skills?
A Yes. Several of them

Q Are you easily angered?
A Shut your mouth.... err, I mean, yes.

Q Do you lack any simple reasoning, especially when angry
A I'll break your arm

Sir, I think I've heard enough. You've got the job.

I also like how they try to ****** the skateboards and walk off all nonchalant about it. Like skateboards costs $0.65 and the kid wont try and get it back.

Skateparks are great and I love them when they're done right, but we're still going to skate the streets. That's what most of us grew up skating, back when there weren't any skateparks. A crappy skatepark isn't going to attrack many real skaters, mostly just newbie little kids and whatnot.

This cop seems like a assh0le...period...

So... what justifies the right for him to get in the kid's face and to throw the kid to the ground. The kid didn't run, the kid wasn't attacking anybody. The kid wasn't obstructing anyone else's freedoms. Not that I can see anyways. I don't see any justification for man handling the kid.
you misunderstood my post. the stupidity i was referring to was the people emailing the station claiming whatever wasn't in the video might have warranted that type of response. there was no way it could have. we are in 100% agreement.
